Michael began his career at the age of 15 and at the age of 17 he started his apprenticeship with Richard Ombre's Salon, where he learned the value of education. By the age of 20 he was the salon manager and head of their education department. Michael went on to co-owning Concepts Spa & Salon, where he developed innovative hair coloring and cutting concepts. During that time he mentored other stylists to bring them to the next level of their career.

Having dreamt of bringing his talents to New York Fashion Week, Michael was fortunate to meet Rodney Cutler eight years ago. After that meeting, Rodney invited him to become a member of the Cutler Fashion Week Team. For the past 16 seasons, he has been backstage for Spring, Fall and Men's Fashion Week, styling hair for designers such as Greg Lauren, Cynthia Rowley, Trina Turk, Rebecca Taylor, Sachin & Babi, Levi's, Gant, Vivianne Tam, Richard Wu, Lorry Newhouse, Max Gengos, and Sophie Theallet.

In 2014 Michael became a member of the Tearsheet Artistic Team in New York City, as an editorial stylist, as well as working backstage at Fashion Week for Tearsheet.

Locally, he is a hairstylist at Lyra Salon. He has been the lead hairstylist for photo shoots and fashion shows, including a 2015 fashion shoot in Genoa, Italy. Michael is a sought-after hairstylist that continues to perfect his craft daily in the salon and for the runways.
